WHY TABLE 26
Table 26 was inspired by the simple yet powerful idea that the best conversations, connections, and memories happen around the table.
The name “Table 26” honours the founder’s father, Michael, whose warmth and welcoming spirit continue to inspire everything we do. Amit and his father opened their first cafe together in 2003, always dreaming of opening another. Sadly, Michael passed away in 2009, but Table 26 keeps his memory alive. The number 26 holds a special significance—it was Michael’s birthday—and the cafe has a table permanently reserved for him: Table 26.
For Michael, the table was more than furniture—it was where countless family dinners, celebrations, and late-night chats took place. It was also where he made everyone feel welcome and valued, creating an atmosphere where every story mattered.
